
The U.S. Gender and Disability Justice Alliance is an organized group of people with disabilities who support the rights of women, nonbinary people,[1] transgender people,[2] and gender diverse[3]people with disabilities. The Alliance follows Disability Justice principles.[4] Alliance members are from all different parts of the United States and work together to act on issues important to our community.
[1]People who feel inside that they are neither a woman or a man.
[2] People whose personal sense of who they are is different than the sex they were assigned at birth.
[3]People whose personal sense of who they are does not fit common ideas about what it means to be a woman or a man.
[4] Disability justice centers the leadership and voices of disabled people who face multiple kinds of discrimination, such as disabled people of color.
